Established in 1993, MusicArtsDance films is one of Australia's premier producers of film and television projects pushing the boundaries between arts film and innovative television, fiction and documentary, with an emphasis on music, visual arts and dance.
As a niche-market production house MusicArtsDance films has an established history of successful arts film and television collaborations and is recognised within the arts community as providing a unique and continuing media window for Australian culture.
The company was developed by Aanya Whitehead and Kevin Lucas who were the producing partners of Lucas Produkzions since 1987. In 1993 they established MusicArtsDance films with Paul Humfress (TV Arts Australia) to facilitate the production and distribution of viable culture-based film, television and new media programmes for the Australian and International market.
Internationally acknowledged as Australia's leading arts television producer with numerous awards and festival acknowledgements endorsing their success, more recently Lucas and Whitehead have expanded MusicArtsDance films production base to include feature films and television drama.
